Birchwood Four Corners Emergency Services District will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 6:30 PM, at the BFCESD Building, 280 Edenharter Rd, Birchwood WI

  3. Rick Oswalt made a motion to approve the March 14, 2024 Meeting Minutes, 2nd by Dan Wichser, Carried 6-0
  4. Public Input-Linda Zilmer concerns regarding Fire Fighters Acct and clarify where money goes from Friends of the BFCESD will go.
  5. Fire Department Report- Attached report
  6. Bob Moulette made a motion to approve the transfer of $15,000.00 from Fire Equipment Capital to Amb Capital Acct for the purchase of the UTV from the Ambulance Dept, 2nd by Al Dirkes, discussion was made, Al Dirkes made a motion amend the above motion to state : for the purchase of the Amb. Dept UTV, trailer and equipment used on it, 2nd by Bob Moulette, Carried 6-0
  7. Ambulance Service Report-See Attached report
    ***Present ACT 12 Certification upcoming requirements for EMS/FIRE
    ***Will be covering races at the Rice Lake Speedway @ $500 per race.
  8. BFCESD Auxiliary Report—See Report
  9. Discussion on providing guidance to the BFCESD Auxiliary on spending #17,B,2a-c
    Mike Hessling made a motion to approve the modification to the bylaws to include item #17,B, 2a-c. 2nd by Dan Wichser, carried 6-0

  10. Building Maintenance report
    Ken G—Gene M will be enclosing the awnings.
    Vince F-Generator didn’t start when power outage, Jeremy said pressure reg/valve malfunctioned and it has been replaced.
  11. Long Term Capital Plan Update-Mike Hessling presented updated spreadsheets and discussion was made. Ken G said their looking into a multi-purpose truck for the Fire Dept grass/structures/rescue. Middleton Fire Dept has a K3 Fire unit.
  12. Discussion on Capital Campaign for new Ambulance Mike Hessling will set up something in the next few weeks for a short meeting before the golf tournament.

  17. Review Correspondence-Hinsdale Bank Pin #’s for EMS payment wire transfers and notification of the PO Boxes that were closed. All mail goes to the 280 Edenharter Address.

    VOB—Dan Wichser— last meeting representing the Village of Birchwood, DeWayne Reiten is the new appointee and will be taking Dan’s position in May 2024.
    TOCL—Mike Hessling—Thanked Al for everything he’s done while Mike was (missing in action) gone. His knowledge and expertise are awesome.
