BFCESD MAY 12, 2022 MEETING MINUTES (approved 6/9/2022)

 

  1. Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. Roll Call—See above
  3. Al Dirkes made a motion to approve the April 14, 2022 Meeting Minutes, 2nd by Dan Wichser, Carried 6-0.
  4. Public Input–none
  5. Fire Department Report: see attached
    1. Dan Wichser made a motion to accept the Mutual aid agreement with Village of Weyerhaeuser Fire Dept, 2nd by Al Dirkes, Carried 6-0.
  6. Ambulance Service Report: see attached
  7. Update on BFCESD Auxiliary Committee formation. Deanna Hessling, Becky George, Gail Edwardson have offered to help with the formation of the Auxiliary Committee, Cindy will ask Mandy Gordon if she would be interested in helping.
  8. Moved to June 10, 2022 agenda. Review BFCESD Contact List and Sub Committee Assignments.
  9. Fund Raising Committee Report. Funding raising will continue to help with extra cost of building. Will be invoicing each entity monthly the percentage of their portion as bills coming from NWB.
  10. Building Committee report. Reviewed contract with NWB and legal opinion from lawyer was sent out to each commissioner for feedback. Mike handed out estimate sheet from NWB their looking at starting bidding in approximately 6-8 weeks.
    1. Disposition Construction Management Contract with NWB was signed by each entity and Mike Hessling will meet with Chris from NWB on Monday.
    2. Update on Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new building. Discussion on set up and timeline of each step.
  11. Moved to June 10, 2022 agenda. Updated Bylaws review.
  12. AL Dirkes made a motion to approve donations that were received since the April 14th, 2022 meeting to May 12, 2022 of $30,595.00, 2nd by Rick Oswalt, carried 6-0.
  13. James Whitehead made a motion to approve the Bookkeepers report as presented, 2nd by Dan Wichser, carried 6-0.
  14. Al Dirkes made a motion to approve Bills as presented for payment from Main acct E-pay- 122-127 and checks 8082-8103, payments from Building Fund acct 1001-1002, 2nd by James Whitehead, carried 6-0.
  15. Review Correspondence. Email from Vanguard Charitable regarding pending donation being sent. Which were received on May 12, 2022. Mike received information from John Miller at Dairy State Bank on changing our credit card acct to an organization acct.  John will be sending that application.

    ***Town of Birchwood-Rich Oswalt—Glad to see everything is moving forward with the building.  Thanked Ken George & Jeremy Humphrey for attending their Annual meeting.

    ***Town of Doyle-Al Dirkes—Annual meeting went well and everyone is glad someone is taking the reins and moving forward.

    ***Town of Edgewater-Pete Baribeau—Absent

    ***Town of Long Lake-James Whitehead—Thanked Mike Hessling for attending their Annual Meeting.

    ***Town of Wilson-Cindy Fairchild—nothing

    ***Village of Birchwood-Dan Wichser—everyone at their Annual meeting was excited about getting the new building started.

    ***Town of Cedar Lake-Mike Hessling—Nothing

  16. Dan Wichser made a motion to adjourn @ 9:05p.m., 2nd by Al Dirkes, carried 6-0
