BFCESD JUne 8, 2023 monthly Meeting minutes (approved 7/13/2023)

3. Scott Spaeth made a motion to approve May 9, 2023 Meeting Minutes as presented, 2^nd by Rick Oswalt, Carried 5-0
4. Public Input—None
5. Fire Department Report- See report included with meeting packet.  Ken will check with Synergy on post by propane tank.
6. Ambulance Service Report- See report included with meeting packet.  
7. BFCESD Auxiliary Report- See report included with meeting packet.  Becki mentioned that the proceeds from Mikana 4^th of July Parade, root beer floats and bake sale are earmarked for the BFCESD Memorial Wall, if the cost exceeds the amount retained from the brick purchase.                    
8. Building/ Fund Raising Committee Report-See attached report.  June 14^th @ 8:30 the building will become Officially the BFCESD’s. Aug 12 2023 is planned for the Grand Opening of the BFCESD new building.
9. Long Term Capital Plan for Fire and Ambulance Department—Discussed different ideas. Item will be tabled until July for presentation in Aug for Budget by Sept.
10. Scott Spaeth asked to remove from the Agenda–Discussion on EMS covered area that have to pay for service other than BFCESD.
11. Discussion on Building use Policy that Mike H presented to the board for consideration.  Add to July’s agenda
12. Move to July’s agenda-Discussion on website social media pages-
13. Dan Wichser–Discussion on the antique fire equipment currently in the possession of the historical society.  Add to July’s agenda
14. New Business –TOB-Nothing, TOD-Absent, TOE-Nothing,TOLL-Nothing,TOW-Nothing, VOB-Nothing, TOCL-Nothing
15. Dan Wichser made a motion to approve Total donations of $8172.00 that were received since the last meeting of $500 to the Building Fund, $6422.00 after expenses were pd from the golf outing and $1250 the EMS from Birchwood Comm. Foundation Fund (to be put towards the purchase of the tactical vest per EMS Director, 2^nd by  Rick Oswalt. Carried 6-0
16. Scott Spaeth made motion to approve Bookkeepers report as presented, 2^nd by Bob Moulette. Carried 6-0
17. Rick Oswalt made a motion to approve Bills as presented for payment,

    BUILDING FUND Check #’s—1032-1038 plus 1039 for $1,429.51 to Abel for air line expense, 2^nd by Dan Wichser.  Carried 6-0
18. Review Correspondence-Mike Hessling rec’d an email from Chris at NWB to do an ad with the new building.
19. Commissioners Input–TOB-Rick Oswalt—Nothing, TOD-Al Dirkes-Absent, TOE-Scott Spaeth—Nothing, TOLL-Bob Moulette—Nothing, TOW-Cindy Fairchild—Nothing, VOB-Dan Wichser—Nothing, TOCL—Mike Hessling—the July BFCESD meeting will be at the new building.
