BFCESD MEETING MINUTES DEC 8, 2022 (APPROVED 01/12/2023)

  3. Dan Wichser made a motion to approve Nov 10, 2022 Meeting Minutes, 2nd by Scott Spaeth, Carried 6-0
  4. Public Input-Linda Zilmer- would like to see annual report on Firefighters fund Acct.
    Concerns on Auxiliary acct.

    1. Letter of Agreement with MMC/Dr Sorge and BFCESD
  7. BFCESD Auxiliary Report Becky George reported that the next executive meeting
    would be Dec 15th, 2022. The By-laws were edited and approved at the Nov 12, 2022 meeting. Committee for the Sleik Golf outing was selected. Full board and members meeting is scheduled for Jan 21, 2023.
  8. Building/ Fund Raising Committee report Mike Hessling gave an update on the
    progress of the building and where the cost is at.
  9. Select Committee members for EMT Service Income/Expense Review Committee and framework. Town of Doyle-Al Dirkes, Town of Wilson-Cindy Fairchild, Town of Cedar Lake-Mike Hessling and Village of Birchwood-Dan Wichser volunteered to be on the committee.
  10. Discuss moving funds to BFCESD Auxiliary acct for Sleik Golf Tournament Fund.
    Mike Hessling made a motion to move the monies received for the 2022 Sleik Golf
    Tournament to the BFCESD Auxiliary Fund to separate the funds from the Building
    Fund acct. for better tracking, 2nd by Scott Spaeth, carried 6-0.
  11. New Business- Dan Wichser will look into ways to recoup money from Ins
    Company’s for Fire Calls. Mike Hessling- add list of long term Amb and Fire
    equipment purchases.
  12. Dan Wichser made a motion to approve donations $14.00 (American Legion jug
    that were received since the last meeting, 2nd by Al Dirkes, Carried 6-0
  13. Dan Wichser made a motion to approve Bookkeepers report, 2nd by Al Dirkes,
    Carried 6-0
  14. Al Dirkes made a motion to approve Bills as presented for payment from
    main acct epay 165-171, checks 8292-8341
    Building Fund check 1014-1015, 2nd by Dan Wichser, Carried 6-0

    Town of Doyle-Al Dirkes- -Great the see the progress on the New Building
    Town of Edgewater-Scott Spaeth-Pete and himself are working on approaching
    Sawyer Cty regarding Ambulance Cty charge.

    Town of Cedar Lake-Mike Hessling-Interesting to see what happens with Sawyer
    Cty issue of charging for Ambulance service that they don’t respond to, portion of
    Cedar Lake residents are paying Barron Cty but do not receive service from MMC as it is provided by BFCESD and paid to them also.
