Birchwood Four Corners Emergency Services District will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 6:30 PM, at the BFCESD Building, 280 Edenharter Rd, Birchwood WI.

  3. Don B made a motion to approve the June 13, 2024 Meeting Minutes as presented, 2nd by Rick O, Carried 6-0
  4. Public Input-None
  5. Election to fill the BFCESD President Vacancy Position as of May 30, 2024 and any position that is open due to Election for President.  *** Cindy F nominated Al Dirkes for the position of President, 2nd by Bob M, no other nominations for President.  Floor was closed. Carried 6-0*** Cindy F nominated DeWayne Reiten for the position of Vice President, 2nd by Don B, , no other nominations for Vice President.  Floor was closed.  Carried 6-0***Don Brunclik was appointed by the board to be Trustee of all Bank Accts.
  6. Discuss changing meeting to every other month and if needed to approve something before to call a Special Meeting.
    Don B made a motion to change the monthly meeting to every other month starting with Jan 2025 meeting, even months will be skipped unless special meeting is needed and can be done at the office or via Zoom, 2nd by DeWayne R, Carried 6-0
    Bills will be paid as they come in so they aren’t late, with a commissioner’s approval and signatures of President or Vice President and Sec/Treas.  Cindy will meet when needed to get approvals.

    Start working on Budgets July- 25th @ approx. 10:30 a.m.
  8. Ambulance Service Report-See ReportStart working on Budgets July- 25th @ approx. 9:00 a.m.
    Reminder that Aug 8th James Small will be attending.
  9. BFCESD Auxiliary Report-See Report
    Will start working on Budget at meeting on July 18th.
  10. Building Maintenance report
    KEN-mentioned that the hill has been mowed, he was approved by Cedar Lake to use boom mower to get more of the hill.
    It was mentioned that the ATV Club has a track unit for mowing that is a possibility to get them to help with the mowing.
    Had the MPIC Insurance Audit on 7/10/2024
    Will be tidying up the hall before event
  11. Long Term Capital Plan Update-No changes
  12. Update on Capital Campaign for new Ambulance-Met on 6/20 @ 1pm to talk about moving forward with funding options and ideas.

    TOB-Stone Lake Fire Dept regarding their coverage area is.
    TOCL- Talked at the TOCL Meeting regarding the Act 12 and what it started out to be for.  Questions on Coverage area doesn’t match BFCESD Agreement with Barron’s, need to verify this.

  14. DeWayne R made a motion to approve donations of $605.00 that were received since the last meeting, Main Acct $250.00-Fire- Ken will ask at Fire Dept Meeting. $250-Amb-to be transferred to Amb Capital per Vince F., Friends Acct $105.00 from Mikana Parade. 2nd by Bo

  17. Review Correspondence– Notice from Dairy State Bank regarding Positive Pay features for $45 per month.  Motion to use it or opt out. Cindy F made a motion to opt out of the Positive Pay — Dairy State Bank, 2nd by Don B , Carried 7-0
