Birchwood Four Corners Emergency Services District will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 6:30 PM, at the BFCESD Building, 280 Edenharter Rd, Birchwood WI.

  3. Rick Oswalt made a motion to approve May 9, 2024 Meeting Minutes as presented, 2nd by Dewayne Reiten, Carried 5-0
  4. Public Input-Linda Zillmer-Sawyer Cty Gen Com changing portable radio coverage and would like us to keep an eye on communication from Sawyer Cty.
  5. Item Tabled until July 11, 2024 meeting–Election to fill the BFCESD President Vacancy Position as of May 30, 2024 and any position that is open due to Election for President.
  6. Al Dirkes made a motion to Appoint Rick Oswalt as BFCESD Dairy State Banks Accts. Trustee, to fill Dan Wichser position on the Dairy State Bank Accts. 2nd by Cindy Fairchild, Carried 5-0.
  7. Fire Department Report –SEE ATTACHED
  8. Ambulance Service Report—SEE ATTACHED
    Vince asked about changing meeting to every other month and if needed to approve something before the next meeting to have a special meeting. Discussion was made on this and will be added to the July 11, 2024 meeting agenda.
    James Small will attend the Aug 3rd meeting.
    Vince presented an updated copy of the Logo and ask if it could be approved to be used without the axes over the EMS logo.
    Don Brunclik made a motion to approve the new logo for EMS, 2nd by Al Dirkes, Carried 5-0
  9. Update on the Effort of Maintenance SL-308 & SL-309 Certifications. All Certifications were signed and emailed to each town/village clerks on May 22, 2024
  10. BFCESD Auxiliary Report—SEE ATTACHED
  11. Building Maintenance report-
    KEN—did some cleaning up of ally tree line with equipment that was rented. Will have to cut remaining trees because of underground wire. Talked to Derrick Smith about getting some black dirt where washouts are on hill. Darryl Robotka gave a quote for $100 to mow approx. 2/3 of hill, hand trimming extra.
    Rick Oswalt made a motion to approve $100.00 per mowing of the hillside, 2nd by Don Brunclik, Carried 5-0
  12. Long Term Capital Plan Update- Nothing new. Cindy will get the spreadsheets from Mike Hessling to keep updated.
  13. Discussion on Capital Campaign for new Ambulance. Meeting is set for July 20th @ 1pm to talk about going forward with Capital Campaign for new Ambulance.
